A History of the Motor Clubs

Below is a list of references to Singapore and Malaysia's motor racing history that have appeared (or will appear) in regional as well as international magazines such as Vintage Race Car Journal. A detailed history of the Singapore Grand Prix can be found in Snakes & Devils - A History of the Singapore Grand Prix, published by Marshall Cavendish in 2008. Further references can be found in Rewind Magazine Quarterly, the only magazine devoted to such content in Asia.

 

Malayan Special Brew - Malaya's Racing Specials

A unique look at a selection of the made in Malaya Specials, racing cars built in garages and backyards over the course of 30 years with names such as the Flying Susah, the Rojak, Black Draught, Kudensay, K&K, Lim-Dawood, L.A. Special and many more. Over 80 of these specials were built in both Singapore and Malaysia and few survive. This is a story that's never been told before with photos and details taken from an upcoming book.
