This is the website of Curry Pot Productions & C2P Racing, a site
created for those interested in historic motor racing in
Southeast Asia.
We came up with "Curry Pot
Productions" during the tail end
of the 2003 Hong Kong Classic Car Club (CCCHK)
racing season at the Malaysian Formula 1 race track in Sepang, when a faulty
dipstick had fooled us into believing that the little 2-litre Pinto engine
needed an enormous 4-litre pot to hold the oil being pushed out. And the
only pot we were able to find was at a little provision shop selling curry pots!
We
had initially decided to create this website as part of a project to film two
documentaries on vintage and classic racing, but you just try to film while
participating in an event and see where you end up. So we've put our Independent
film on
hold and now use this site to share our racing
experiences with friends and fellow race car owners - petrol heads, adrenaline
junkies, etc.
This site serves as a repository for two books
written by Eli Solomon:
"Snakes & Devils - A
History of the Singapore Grand Prix", the
definitive book on the original Singapore
Grand Prix, published by Marshall Cavendish,
and an upcoming two volume small print
run of "Red Flags & Lost Circuits of
Southeast Asia", to be published
by Curry Pot Press. It also houses the
online site for Singapore Rare
Books - a bookshop specialising in
Singaporeana, Southeast Asia and Motorsport.

Snakes & Devils may still be available at
choice bookshops in Singapore and the region
We hope you enjoy this site as much as we
have in fuelling it.
